From April 3rd to April 6th, we went to the Erasmus Generation Meeting (EGM) Ancona 2025. 

At its fourth edition, the EGM is the biggest student-led conference in the world, with over 1200 participants. This year’s theme was “Empowering youth as the change makers of society”. 

The event started with a Flag Parade from Passetto to Teatro delle Muse, livening up the city of Ancona with colors, music and excitement. Then, the Welcome Ceremony took place at Teatro delle Muse, where the President of ESN International Rita Dias officially opened the EGM 2025.

During the next three days, we took part to plenary sessions and workshops on shaping the future of the Erasmus Generation, sharing ideas and networking with people from all over the world. 

We also got to know the Erasmus Destination of the Year finalists: ESN Aarhus, ESN-EYE Łódź, ESN UEW Wrocław, ESN Riga and ESN Tallinn. During the closing ceremony, just after the ESN Awards disclosed the best projects of 2024, ESN Aarhus was announced as the winner. 

During the EGM Expo, we represented the Università degli Studi di Trieste and the Transform4Europe Alliance, offering gadgets and informational materials to all those interested in what they have to offer. 

Finally, the social programme deserves to be mentioned: from the DJ Set under the stars to the international dinner, from the typical Italian dinner to the Gala Night, everything was taken care of in every detail.

We would like to thank ESN Ancona for organizing such an amazing event, it was truly an honor to host it in Italy this year. 

We can’t wait to discover which city will host it next!
